A 64-year-old woman died after a westbound silver Kia Soul struck her and fled at Ashby Avenue and Regent Street in Berkeley on November 3. She was taken to a trauma center, where she later died. Police arrested a 66-year-old driver hours later on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run and gross vehicular manslaughter.
Next stepsA 46-year-old Hayward resident was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash after a blue Nissan Sentra struck the person in a crosswalk at Mission Boulevard and Gresel Street in Hayward around 11:15 p.m. on November 1. The driver and a passenger ran off, police said. Officers detained the passenger, but the driver was not found.
