A multi-car crash on the northbound 405 Freeway just south of the 101 in Sherman Oaks left one person dead around 1:30 a.m. on November 1. The California Highway Patrol said at least three cars were involved, including one that overturned. Northbound lanes remained closed until just before 7 a.m.

The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. and involved at least five vehicles. The Los Angeles Fire Department said one person was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, while six others suffered minor injuries.

CHP said the vehicle struck a curb and a fence before falling onto the freeway. At least two eastbound lanes were shut down as crews cleared the scene.
