Bakersfield, CA – A big-rig crash claimed the life of 77-year-old Seluster Lane around 5 a.m. on Tuesday March 29, 2022. Lane was driving a van on Highway 99 just north of Merced Avenue when he was rear-ended by a semi-truck. The collision caused Lane to be ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police have not released any further information on this collision. An investigation is underway.
