Bakersfield, CA – One person died in a crash involving a sedan and SUV on Thursday April 7, 2022, around 3:45 p.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 43 and Pond Rd.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the vehicles collided and drove off the road into a ditch. One person was pronounced dead following the crash. Another was reported to be trapped inside the sedan. CHP is investigating the cause of this crash.
The victim was identified as 65-year-old Juan Antonio Fernandez.
