Multivehicle Collision Causes One Fatality and Seven Injuries

Pala, CA – A tragic multi-vehicle accident occurred in Pala, California, resulting in the death of a man and the arrest of a woman suspected of driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision involved at least three vehicles on State Route 76 at Magee Road on Monday, May 29, 2023. According to witnesses, the driver of a Toyota Camry was heading eastbound on SR-76 when she veered across the center line of the road into oncoming traffic. Seven people were injured in the crash.

The driver of the Camry was taken into custody and charged with felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
