Batavia, NY – A multi-vehicle crash closed a portion of the New York State Thruway (I-90) in Genesee County between Exit 48 (Batavia) and Exit 48A (Pembroke) on Thursday afternoon. New York State Police reported that several vehicles were involved in the collision, including passenger vehicles and tractor-trailers.
The crash blocked traffic in both directions, prompting authorities to divert westbound traffic at Exit 48 and eastbound traffic at Exit 48A. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and injuries were reported, though the number and severity of those injuries have not been released.
New York State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further details were immediately available, and the incident remains under investigation.
