I’m Corinne Brophy, and I am a senior trial attorney at The Barnes Firm. I attended law school at the University of Connecticut. I was born and raised in Connecticut, in Fairfield County. My dad was an attorney, and he had his own practice, so I started young working cleaning his office when I was a kid and then helping him out, so that had a really big influence on me when I was a kid.
Right after law school, I got my license in Connecticut, both state and federal practice. I immediately started working for my dad, worked for him for several years, and then my life took a little bit of a turn. My spouse was active duty military, and we traveled all over the country for many years.

We were settled in California. I jumped back into the legal field. I’m excited to share that I’ll soon be named one of California’s Rising Stars, Superair’s top honors. They recognize up-and-coming attorneys in California.

I really have passion for my clients, and I really care about them. They come from all different walks of life. Each of them, I worry about them and I’m concerned about them, and I want to fight for them. It makes me feel good to be able to fight for them.

Part of what I love about working for The Barnes Firm is that it makes me feel like I’m back working with my dad, but it’s that similar feeling of having a small practice but with the resources of a big firm.
