I’m Landon Ray Vivian, I’m the managing attorney of the Oakland office of the Barnes Firm. i attended law school in Lyola Law School here in Los Angeles. I was born in Michigan in the Midwest. when I was a little kid, I figured out that the lawyer trial lawyer thing was more my style. I always was one to argue and debate stuff in high school. I was all about speech and debate and conveying information, explaining concepts, relating. That’s stuff that I’ve always kind of been into, and it fits really well with law, especially personal injury where you’re representing people.

There was one case I had where it involved somebody: they sat down in the chair, and then the chair broke, and the person fell back. In addition to having shoulder injuries, they also had a head injury. Over time as it developed, and to see the changes and troubles that they went through, it could just be really rewarding to then really vindicate somebody. This is definitely the kind of law I love to do and passionate about, because people, everyone I’m dealing with, everyone I’m representing, is somebody that was hurt. That aspect of it is really what draws me in and makes me feel like a cause worth fighting for. I know the people I work with, the attorneys I work with, we care a lot. We’re passionate about this. Yes, we’ve been doing it for a while. We we know the technical skills to do and all that. But aside from that, the environment that we have, the energy, the vibe at our firm is really one of let’s try and figure out how to help people and do really good work to put them back in the best possible position they can be.
