My name is Seth Mitchell. I’m a trial attorney at the Barnes Firm. I attended law school at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. Originally came from Maryland, it’s where I was born and raised and lived for several years. Then I went to the University of Richmond for undergraduate. What compelled me to go to law school was I was in the finance field after I graduated college and I actually worked for Arthur Anderson, the extinct counting company. And while I was there was when the huge Enron and Arthur Anderson scandal occurred.

Employees that had worked at this company, dedicated their lives at Enron for years to secure their retirement, was wiped away in an instant because of malfeasants by the executives at the company. And that prompted me to go to law school because it just wasn’t right. Just felt this sense of duty to educate myself in the law and fight for justice of people that have been wronged.

My approach, it kind of goes hand in hand with what the Barnes firm does, where unlike a lot of other law firms, as soon as we get the case, to make sure we have all the important information, to ask the right questions, to get the right information so that we’re preparing our client’s case for the best outcome. What’s most rewarding about my job is getting to know the client, establishing a very solid relationship with them, fighting for them as hard as I can and doing my best job. The client understanding and appreciating that. And what that does is that helps us both to achieve the best outcome for the case.
