There was someone who had a very, very bad injury. It was an amputation. It was because her car, when it was disabled, she had called in for help. They told her, “Hey, okay, we’re going to send somebody out.” That didn’t happen. Somebody else came and responded, then they left. After a while, she got out, tried to change the tire. Another car came along, hit her, and that ran her into her own car.

Like, it was, it was real bad. It turned out that the people involved really didn’t have enough insurance coverage to really compensate this person for what had happened. You really have to look at every possible thing, and in that particular case, we were able to make a connection between one of the companies that was involved in responding when her car broke down. Through a lot of work, we uncovered that they should have done it. It was their policies. These are their practices, and these practices they eventually would acknowledge were designed to keep people safe, and they didn’t do it. But when you put it all together, we were able to get a fair recovery for this deserving client despite those challenges.
