Right Turn On Red

Some intersections restrict drivers from turning right at a red light; but traffic is allowed to freely turn at the intersection of Tillary & Flatbush. Adding to the confusion, both roadways have a raised-curb median, separating several lanes of traffic.

While a right turn on red can be executed at this intersection, it’s very dangerous due to blocked sight lines.

Typical intersections cross at square, 90-degree angles. Flatbush, however, runs from the northwest to the southeast while Tillary’s traffic heads east and west.
