CPAP Lawsuit
Philips Respironics recalled millions of CPAP machines because the foam used in the devices can potentially escape as gas or particles that, when inhaled, can cause cancer, respiratory issues and variety of other health consequences.
The foam used in these machines is polyester-based polyurethane. It’s typically used to dampen the sound of these devices, but it can also impact a patient’s health.
At The Barnes Firm, our position is this:
- CPAP Machines did not warn users about the potentially fatal health consequences
- Millions of patients were put at risk
- The safety of CPAP machines may be misrepresented in advertising
