Thrill rides and other amusement park accidents have caused the deaths of many innocent people, and thousands more have been injured on dangerous rides. Sadly, many of these victims are children.
These are some of the most recent amusement park accidents:
Ohio Fair Ride Accident
The “Fire Ball” ride at the Ohio State fair collapsed while the ride was in motion, killing one and injuring seven others. An investigation determined the ride collapsed due to poor maintenance and ‘excessive corrosion.’
Kansas City Water Slide Accident
A tragic water park accident claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy who suffered a fatal neck injury. Investigators say the boy fell off a raft on the Verruckt waterslide, which the park called “world’s tallest.” The boy’s family agreed to settle their case with the raft manufacturer and the water park.
