1 Critical, 3 Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Long Island Expressway in Queens

A multi-vehicle crash and pileup involving about nine vehicles occurred on the Long Island Expressway near 25th Street by the Queens–Midtown Tunnel on Friday morning, prompting a large response from FDNY and other emergency crews. Four people were rushed to hospitals, with one in critical condition and three in serious condition following the collision. Some vehicles were reported to be stacked on top of one another due to the force of the crash. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation, and the crash caused heavy traffic backups in the area.
