My name is Jeff Bodley. I was born in Ogden, Utah, but when I was 2 years old, my family moved to the Detroit, Michigan area, and I grew up in a suburb of Detroit. I went to law school at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. In San Diego, I have a great reputation on both sides of the fence because I’ve been a defense lawyer and now on the plaintiff’s side as well. And I’m just proud of the fact that no matter who you talk to, they recognize that I’m someone who’s passionate about my job, but I’m also very reasonable, easy to work with.

One of my main rules is always be the most reasonable person in the room. One of the things I’m able to tell clients when I first meet with them is that the fact that I worked for farmers and then I worked for defense firms for a, you know, fairly good part of my career. I have a a real good understanding about what it is an insurance company needs to evaluate a claim. It’s important for people to realize that when you call The Barnes firm and you talk to one of us on the phone, we’re not in a call center somewhere. And when you call me and you get me as your attorney, I’m going to be the attorney handling your case. All of us that are in that office, live there, work there, are part of the same community you are.
