Does Paraquat Cause Parkinson’s Disease?

Parkinson’s disease is a nervous system disorder that affects movement. Early signs of Parkinson’s can include tremors, slow movement, rigid muscles, impaired posture and balance, or speech changes.

Studies have shown exposure to paraquat increased the risk of Parkinson’s disease later in life. Some of the people involved in this study showed a much higher risk of developing Parkinson’s, especially if they were exposed at a young age.

Another study found that people who lived near fields where paraquat was used had a Parkinson’s rate many times higher than other people who were not exposed.

Do I Qualify For a Paraquat Lawsuit?

The following qualifications are required to file a Paraquat lawsuit:

• You or a loved one must have sprayed, transported, or directly handled Paraquat
• Must have used Paraquat after 1962
• Been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease
