Woman Killed After Car Runs Red Light

San Diego, CA – A 40-year-old woman was struck and killed by a Tesla on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, around 8:30 a.m. The crash took place at the intersection of Othello Avenue and Convoy Street.
According to police, a 39-year-old man driving a Tesla drove through a red light at Convoy Street and struck the pedestrian. The woman was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The San Diego Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
