Unlicensed Truck Driver Kills Pedestrian
Queens, NY – An unlicensed box truck driver fatally struck a 73-year-old man in a wheelchair while he was crossing the street on Saturday, March 19, 2022, around 9 a.m. on Central Ave. near Nameoke St. in Far Rockaway.
The driver of the box truck, Freddy Saquisili, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed driving. The victim was taken to St. John’s Hospital where he later passed away. NYPD Highway Division’s Collision Investigation Squad will continue to investigate the crash.
