Two Women Killed in Two-vehicle Crash

Pomona, CA – Two women were killed on Sunday, April 17, 2022, around 2:00 a.m. when a 2019 Honda Civic rear-ended a 2013 Toyota Camry. The crash occurred on the Pomona 60 Freeway. 

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the woman driving the Civic was traveling at an unsafe speed when she struck the Camry. The driver of the Civic and 23-year-old passenger of the Camry were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Camry was rushed to the hospital. CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.  

One of the victims has been identified as 24-year-old Julia Schmidt.
