Bakersfield, CA – A T-bone collision occurred on Saturday, August 6, 2022, on Highway 155 and Melcher Road. The crash occurred shortly before 2 a.m.
According to California Highway Patrol, a Dodge pickup truck failed to yield right of way at a stop sign and T-boned a Kia. The driver and passenger of the Kia were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two passengers of the Dodge were taken to Kern Medical with injuries. According to officials, alcohol and drugs may have been a factor in this collision.
