Two Fatalities and One Injury Reported in Peninsula Collision

Peninsula, CA – A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in San Mateo County, resulting in two fatalities and leaving another person in critical condition. The Redwood City division of California Highway Patrol confirmed the incident after receiving a call at approximately 6:40 p.m. The crash was a head-on collision involving a Tesla and a Subaru SUV on Highway 1 at Bean Hollow Road near Pescadero.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, preliminary information suggests that one of the vehicles crossed over into opposing traffic for unknown reasons. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
