Queens, NY – A tow truck driver was killed on Saturday, October 8, 2022, around 3:20 a.m. The crash took place on the Long Island Expressway.
According to police, the tow truck driver, Carlos Santiago, 47, was hooking up a disabled vehicle when two cars crashed into the tow truck. Santiago was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
