Three Killed In Cattaraugus County Head-On Collision

Freedom, NY – A tragic accident in the Town of Freedom that occurred on Saturday, June 17, 2023, has left three people dead and several others with serious injuries. The collision involved a 2006 Dodge Ram driven by Evan Klink and a 2005 Ford Focus driven by his sister, Dahlia Klink. Evan Klink crossed the center line intentionally and lost control of his vehicle before striking his sister’s car in a head-on collision. Two passengers in the Ford, 17-year-old Havanah Lopez and 6-year-old Molly Kibler, were pronounced dead at the scene. Dahlia Klink and her 4-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. On Sunday night, Dahlia Klink died from her injuries. Evan Klink and his 19-year-old passenger were also treated for injuries.

New York State Troopers responded to the accident just after noon and are investigating the scene. Evan Klink is being evaluated by State Police drug recognition experts.
