Thirteen Students Injured After Pickup Truck Strikes School Bus

East Meadow, NY – On Monday May 1, 2023, at around 3:45 p.m. Nassau fire officials were called to the scene of a school bus accident in East Meadow. Thirteen students and a bus driver were on board when a pickup truck collided with the bus outside of Meadowbrook Elementary School. As a result, all passengers were transported to a hospital for evaluation.

The 57-year-old driver of the pickup truck had to be extracted from the vehicle. He also suffered minor injuries.
