Teen Boy Drowns at Woodlawn Beach

Blasdell, NY – A tragic incident occurred at Woodlawn State Park in New York, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy from Lackawanna. The incident took place on Monday, July 24, 2023, while the boy, identified as Aiden Walden, was swimming. At around 5:30 p.m., Walden struggled to keep his head above water, prompting others at the beach to come to his aid. Despite efforts to revive him, Walden was pronounced dead after being taken to South Buffalo Mercy Hospital.
