Well, as a native of the Bay Area, I have been around the San Francisco and Oakland communities for nearly my entire life. I did venture about six hours south in 1989 to obtain my bachelor’s degree from UCLA, but returned to my home area shortly after finishing and completed my J.D. at the University of San Francisco in 1997.
Right after finishing my higher education, I started out as a defense attorney for insurance companies handling cases related to product liability, premises liability, toxic tort, and automobile claims. As time went on, I became personally conflicted about representing corporate interests over victims in need of help. Ultimately, I made the decision to switch sides, and joined The Barnes Firm in 2018.
In the nearly two decades since my change, I have successfully represented hundreds of individuals and families across the Bay Area that have been taken advantage of by their insurance companies. My time defending the other side has given me excellent insight into the strategies used by insurance companies to avoid payouts, and I pride myself on making these insights easily digestible for any jury. Whether going to trial or settling out of court, I am confident in my ability to get you the justice and compensation you deserve for your suffering.
Beyond law, I live with my wife and two young daughters in San Francisco, and spend whatever free time I have with them. I am also a loyal San Fran sports fan and happily cheer for the Niners, Giants, and the Warriors.
