I have lived in the Los Angeles area all of my life including my undergraduate years at UCLA. Before I began law school, I was an insurance adjuster for a major insurance company and also worked as a personal injury case manager for a Beverly Hills law firm. I completed my J.D. at UWLA at night while working full time and passed the California State Bar exam on my first attempt.
In my career that spans almost 25 years including over 5 years with Cellino & Barnes and The Barnes Firm, I have resolved over 150 million dollars worth of personal injury claims involving nearly 6,000 cases. I also spent a year in the early part of my career with a firm that specialized in defending insurance companies which gives me a unique insight into the legal techniques insurance companies will use to minimize payouts to injured victims.
I am a mandatory settlement officer for the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, have been an invited speaker both in person at seminars and on webinars to educate lawyers and also am a past president of the Antelope Valley Bar Association. Currently and for the last 30 years, my family and I have lived in Valencia, a short drive away from The Barnes Firm’s downtown Los Angeles office.
