San Marcos, CA – An accident involving a pedestrian and a garbage truck occurred on Friday, March 10, 2023, just before 12 p.m. The collision occurred at the EDCO Recycling Buyback Center, located in the 200 block of South Las Posas Road.
According to the San Diego County Sherriff’s Department, an EDCO recycling truck was backing into the scales at the center when it struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
