Brooklyn, NY – A multivehicle accident occurred on Sunday, May 28, 2023, around 8:30 p.m. when a car collided with an MTA bus, resulting in a chain reaction of at least six other cars involved and over a dozen people being injured. The incident occurred at a three-way stop intersection where a white car hit the city bus while crossing on Essex Street, causing a serious accident that resulted in 15 people being transported to the hospital, including a woman in critical condition. The NYPD Vehicle Collision Squad is currently investigating the incident to determine who was responsible and if speed played a role in the crash.
