One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash

Fresno, CA – A multi-vehicle crash occurred just after 3 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. The crash involved at least five cars on Highway 99 near the North Avenue exit.  

According to California Highway Patrol, a Dodge Stratus bounced off the wall and veered across three lanes of the highway. A driver in a Jeep stopped to help. The Jeep was then hit triggering a chain reaction with two additional vehicles. The driver of the Stratus died at the scene. All other drivers suffered moderate injuries.  

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
