Lindenhurst, NY – An accident occurred on Sunday, June 18, 2023, that claimed the life of a woman. According to authorities, the accident occurred when Kiritkumar Vyas, 56, of Babylon, failed to stop at a red light while driving on Route 109 around 7 a.m. His vehicle collided with a 2010 Honda Civic driven by Giuseppa Giordano, 59, who was travelling on Straight Path. Giordano, a resident of West Babylon, was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her 12-year-old passenger was also injured.
