One Fatality, One Injured in Orangeville Crash

Orangeville, CA – One person died, and another was seriously injured, after a two-car collision on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, around 9:30 p.m. The crash occurred on Hazel Avenue near Elm Avenue. 

According to police, a 2018 Honda, driven by Joseph Angel Mendoza, was traveling at a high rate of speed on Hazel Avenue and struck a 2006 Lexus making a left turn into a driveway. Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
