Absecon, NJ – A collision between a New Jersey Transit Bus and another vehicle happened Thursday, June 16, 2022, around 5:30 p.m. near South Shore Road and Ohio Avenue. 

According to police, 48-year-old John Barker was driving a 2006 Mercedes sedan when he collided with a bus traveling from Atlantic City to Lindenwood. Barker was killed in the crash. The bus driver and 12 passengers were taken to the hospital. Police believe speed played a factor in the crash.
