Castro Valley, CA – Multiple shoppers were injured after a vehicle drove into a Trader Joe’s store located at 22224 Redwood Road. The accident occurred on Thursday, September 15, 2022, shortly before 4 p.m.
According to police, an 88-year-old man driving a Toyota Avalon accelerated into the checkout area of the store. Eight people were injured in the collision. Four of the eight injured were transported to the hospital. The crash is under investigation.
