Motorcyclist Injured In Batavia Collision

Batavia, NY – A motorcycle crash occurred on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Tops Supermarket intersection on West Main Street in Batavia. The operator of the motorcycle, 34-year-old Gregory Vigiano of Batavia, was heading eastbound when a passenger vehicle driven by 32-year-old Rebecca Santiago of Stafford made an illegal left turn and collided with Vigiano. As a result of the crash, Vigiano was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester by Mercy Flight and is currently in guarded/ critical condition.

The Batavia Police Department is investigating the incident and has issued Santiago tickets for making an illegal left turn and operating with a suspended driver’s license.
