Tonawanda, NY – A Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) Paratransit bus was involved in a rollover accident in Tonawanda, on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, around 6 a.m. The incident occurred when the bus driver was taking the I-190 southbound ramp to I-290 eastbound, near the South Grand Island Bridge, and resulted in the bus rolling over.

At the time of the accident, three people were on the bus – the driver and two passengers. The driver and both passengers were injured in the accident and transported to the hospital. The reason for the accident is unclear, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash.
