High School Student Killed in Long Island Crash

Commack, NY – A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, on Indian Head Road. The accident happened around 3:45 p.m. 

According to police, four high school students were traveling in a 2008 Ford Mustang when the driver swerved to avoid another vehicle, lost control, and struck a Jeep Wrangler traveling on the other side of the road. One of the high school students, 17-year-old passenger Isabel Carella riding in the Mustang, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mustang, Dominic Crocitto, and two other passengers, Joesph Gilbiino and Liam Freely were transported to Stony Brook University with serious injuries. The driver of the Jeep, Annalise Wilkes, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center with injuries.
