Fourteen Injured After Roller Coaster Malfunction at Six Flags Great Adventure
Jackson Township, NJ – Fourteen people were injured on Thursday, August 25, 2022, while riding the El Toro wooden roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m.
Witnesses report hearing a loud bang and seeing the El Toro train jolt during operation. According to park officials, a malfunction occurred and caused injuries to passengers onboard. Fourteen people were injured and five were hospitalized after the accident. The roller coaster was shut down after the incident and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
