Fourteen Children Injured After Inflatable Bounce House Tips Over
Wyandanch, NY – Fourteen children were injured after an inflatable bounce house tipped over during Lafrancis Hardiman Elementary School’s field day at Wyandanch Park on Mount Avenue. The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
The bounce house was full of 6 and 7-year-old children when it fell over onto the tennis courts, causing injuries to those in the bounce house and on the ground. According to Suffolk County Fire Department, 11 people were treated at the scene and seven others were transported to the hospital. Wyandanch School District is investigating the cause of the accident.
