Four People Hospitalized in Wrong-Way Collision

Lakeside, CA – A head-on collision occurred on Route 67 near Mapleview Street on Sunday, August 7, 2022, around 11:30 p.m.  

According to California Highway Patrol, a Toyota SUV was traveling in the wrong direction when it crashed head-on into a car. The impact of the crash caused the car to flip on its side. The three passengers of the car, as well as the driver of the SUV, were taken to the hospital. It is suspected that the driver of the Toyota was under the influence of alcohol.
