Four Injuries and One Fatality Reported in Van Nuys Collision

Van Nuys, CA – A fatal accident occurred in Van Nuys, resulting in the death of one person and causing four others, including an 11-year-old child, to be hospitalized. The incident took place on Saticoy Street near Sepulveda Boulevard at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023, when two vehicles carrying a total of five occupants collided.

According to LAPD Sergeant Jeremy Miller, the collision occurred when a white Mustang, traveling westbound on Saticoy Street at a high speed, lost control and crossed over the double yellow line, ultimately crashing into a gray Audi. Tragically, a 21-year-old female passenger in the white Mustang was killed as a result of the impact. The remaining four victims, including the young girl, a 30-year-old woman, and two 21-year-old men, sustained severe injuries.
