DUI Driver hits 2 Pedestrians in Marked Crosswalk
Los Angeles, CA – An accident involving a Lexus sedan and two pedestrians occurred on Saturday, November 19, 2022, around 11:40 p.m. The collision happened at the intersection of South Olive Street and West 9th Street.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Lexus sedan was driving the wrong-way down a one- way street when he struck two pedestrians in a marked crosswalk at the intersection. The man continued and crashed head-on into another vehicle waiting at a red light. Both pedestrians were taken seriously injured and taken to the hospital. One pedestrian was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence.
