San Diego, CA – A pipefitter working at General Dynamic’s National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) facility in the 2700 block of Harbor Drive was killed on Monday, August 12, 2024 after being hit by a falling object. The accident occurred just after 12 p.m. According to San Diego Fire Rescue, the victim was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Cal/OSHA, in collaboration with local police, are investigating the cause of the accident.
