Two Construction Workers Killed After Trench Collapse at JFK Airport

Queens, NY – On Monday, April 3, 2023, two construction workers were tragically killed in an accident at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, disclosed that the workers became trapped under construction rubble at approximately 11 a.m. The incident occurred in a trench situated near Terminal 7, which is one of the airport’s busiest terminals.

According to the New York City Fire Department, over 60 firefighters worked to rescue the workers from the trench. Both workers were pronounced dead at the scene, and their identities have yet to be revealed. The Port Authority is investigating the cause of the accident.
