Tractor-Trailer Driver Charged with DWI after Major Crash

Southampton, NY – Tractor-trailer driver, 42-year-old Wuilmer Barrios, was arrested after causing a 6-car crash on County Road 39 at Tuckahoe Road in Southampton. Barrios rear-ended two vehicles around 4:55 p.m. on March 29, 2022, causing a chain reaction, resulting in 6 vehicles colliding. 

Barrios was charged with a DWI, leaving the scene of a crash, and aggravated unlicensed driving. Some passengers were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
