One Killed in Highway 118 Crash

Somis, CA – A fatal crash occurred on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, around 9:30 a.m. The crash happened on Highway 118 near Center School Road. 

According to California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash involved a 2010 Volvo semi-truck carrying lumber, a 2006 Toyota Tundra and a 1971 Isuzu Elf two-axle truck. The driver of the Toyota was attempting to pass the Isuzu when he lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with the semi. The driver of the Isuzu, Richard W. McIver, was pronounced dead at the scene. Five others were injured in the crash.
