One Child Killed and One Injured After Being Struck In Queens Crosswalk

Queens, NY – A terrible accident occurred on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 when two brothers, and their mother, walking in a crosswalk were struck by a pickup truck. The accident happened at the intersection of 100th Street and 31st Avenue in East Elmhurst around 4:15 p.m. According to reports, the family had the right of way when a truck made a left hand turn and struck them. An 8-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His brother, 10, was taken to New York-Presbyterian with injuries.
