Construction Worker Dies After Falling Down 20-Foot Hole

Queens, NY – Construction worker Holger Molino, 45, from Newark is in critical condition after falling down a 20-foot hole around 3 p.m. on Wednesday April 6, 2022. The accident happened at a Queens construction site located at 350 St. Nichols Avenue in Ridgewood. 

The preliminary investigation by the Department of Buildings found the worker was moving a plywood board on the first floor when they slipped and fell down a 20-foot hole into the basement. The worker was transported to Wyckoff Hospital with critical injuries, and was pronounced dead upon arrival. The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
