Cement Truck Collision Leaves 2 Hospitalized and 1 Dead

El Grenada, CA – Highway 1 was closed in both directions on Monday, March 14, 2022, after a major collision involving a Ford Flex SUV and a cement truck. According to local authorities, the crash occurred on Highway 1 near Capistrano Road in El Granada around 2:30p.m.

The driver of the SUV, Catherine Lee Treulich, 76, of Half Moon Bay, was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries and later passed away. A juvenile passenger of the SUV also suffered major injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the cement truck was taken to San Francisco General with unknown injuries. The cause of this accident is still under investigation.
