Car Collision Injures Pedestrian

Essex County, NJ – Two cars collided at the intersection of Union County College around 9 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022. The driver of the first car was making a left turn into the Nomahegan Park parking lot when the second car struck the first car.  

According to police, the collision sent the first car off the road and onto the sidewalk where it struck a 19-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to University Hospital with critical injuries. The 20-year-old female driver who struck the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. She was issued multiple summons including careless driving, failure to yield, failure to obey traffic laws, and making an improper left turn.
